Athena: AI Document Manager Privacy Policy

This privacy policy is applicable to the Athena: AI Document Manager app (hereinafter referred to as “Application”) for mobile devices, which was developed by Simon Pflaum (hereinafter referred to as “Service Provider”) as a an Ad Supported service. This service is provided “AS IS”.

1. Data Collection and Use

The Application does not collect or transmit any personal data to the Service Provider or any external server. All documents and information created or managed within the Application are stored locally on your device and remain under your full control.

The Service Provider does not access, process, or store any user-created content or personal data.

The Application uses third-party services which may collect anonymized usage data. These include:

These services may collect information such as device type, operating system, and general usage statistics to deliver and personalize ads. The Service Provider does not control or have access to this data.

3. Data Storage and Deletion

All user documents are stored only on your device. The Service Provider cannot access, retrieve, or delete this data.

To delete your data, you may:

  • Delete documents manually within the Application (if available),
  • Clear the Application’s storage via your device settings, or
  • Uninstall the Application, which will permanently remove all locally stored data.

What are my opt-out rights?

You can halt all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling the Application. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.

4. GDPR Compliance

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

  • The Service Provider is not a data controller or processor, as no personal data is collected or processed.
  • You retain full control over your data through your device.
  • The Service Provider cannot fulfill data access, correction, or deletion requests since it does not have access to any personal data.

5. Children’s Privacy

The Application is not intended for children under 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data through third-party services, please contact those providers directly.

While no personal data is collected by the Service Provider, security of locally stored documents is your responsibility. Avoid jailbreaking or rooting your device, which could compromise the security of locally stored data.

7. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the Application constitutes your consent to the updated policy.

By using the Application, you are giving your consent to the Service Provider processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us. “Processing,” means using cookies on a computer/hand held device or using or touching information in any way, including, but not limited to, collecting, storing, deleting, using, combining and disclosing information.
